Check your NU Honours result in a few steps
This page lets you look up your National University Honours result with your exam roll, registration number and exam year. It works for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year exams. Once the final year result is out, you can also open the consolidated result, which puts all four years together into one CGPA.
One thing to be clear about. This is not the university's own website. It is a separate tool that pulls your result from NU's public result records and shows it as a clean marksheet you can print or save as a PDF. If you need the result for a job, a visa or a transcript, match it with the official NU site or ask your college office.
How to check your Honours result
Pick the year
Choose 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year. If you want the overall four-year marksheet, choose Honours Consolidated Result instead.
Type the exam year
Use the exam year printed on your admit card. It is often earlier than the year the result came out, and this mix-up causes most of the "result not found" messages.
Add roll and registration
Copy both numbers from your admit card and registration card. Use English digits and leave out spaces or dashes.
Press View Result
Give it a few seconds. On result day the main server gets very busy, so it can take a little longer than usual.
Honours grading scale at a glance
NU uses a 4.00 scale. Your marks in every course turn into a letter grade and a grade point, and those grade points feed into your GPA.
| Marks (%) | Letter grade | Grade point |
|---|---|---|
| 80–100 | A+ | 4.00 |
| 75–79 | A | 3.75 |
| 70–74 | A− | 3.50 |
| 65–69 | B+ | 3.25 |
| 60–64 | B | 3.00 |
| 55–59 | B− | 2.75 |
| 50–54 | C+ | 2.50 |
| 45–49 | C | 2.25 |
| 40–44 | D | 2.00 |
| Below 40 | F | 0.00 |
The lowest passing grade is D, which needs at least 40 marks in the course. Courses that have a practical part can come with their own pass rule, so read both the theory and the practical columns before you decide that you passed.
What the consolidated result means
A lot of students think the final CGPA is just the average of four yearly GPAs. It is not quite that. NU counts credits, so a course with more credits pulls your final CGPA harder than a course with fewer credits. You do not need to work this out by hand. The consolidated marksheet shows the final figure once all four years are on record.
It only appears after the 4th year result is published. If an older year still has a failed course, the consolidated option may return nothing until that course is cleared.
If your result does not show up
- Check that NU has actually published the result. If the notice is not out yet, nothing will load on any site.
- Make sure the roll and registration numbers are in the right boxes.
- Look at the exam year again. Use the one from your admit card, not today's year.
- Remove any spaces that came along when you copied the numbers from a message or a PDF.
- If you see a connection error, wait ten minutes and try again. Result day traffic is heavy.
Not happy with a mark?
If you think a mark is wrong, NU lets students apply for a recheck of the answer script within a short window after the result. The details are in our revaluation guide. If you studied the three year pass course instead, the Degree Pass page is the one you need.
Frequently asked questions
Can I check old Honours results?
The form accepts exam years from 1998. Whether a particular record comes up depends on what NU still keeps in its public archive, so very old results may not always be available.
Can I use the PDF as an official document?
No. The PDF is a print of what appears on screen and is meant for your own reference. For anything official, ask NU or your college for the attested copy.
Do you keep my roll and registration number?
No. The details you type are only used to fetch your result and are not stored on this site. You can read more in the privacy policy.
I failed one course. What happens now?
A failed course is normally cleared in a later exam. Your college notice board will tell you about form fill-up dates and fees. If you believe the mark itself is wrong, look at the revaluation steps first.
This website is an independent helper tool and is not run by National University, Bangladesh. Rules, dates and fees can change with every NU notice, so use the official NU website or your college office for anything that needs to be confirmed.
