NU Masters result: Preliminary, Final and ICT
Use this page to see your National University Masters result. You can pick Masters Preliminary, Masters Final or Masters ICT, type in your exam year, roll and registration number, and the marksheet appears under the form. You can print it or save it as a PDF.
The page is run independently and is not part of the university. It simply makes the public result easier to read on a phone.
Preliminary or Final? A quick comparison
Masters students often ask which option fits them. This table should clear it up.
| Masters Preliminary | Masters Final | |
|---|---|---|
| Who usually takes it | Students who came to Masters from a Degree (Pass) background and need the first part. | Students sitting the last Masters exam. Most Honours graduates go straight into a one year Masters (Final). |
| What it is | The first part of the longer route. | The closing exam of the programme. |
| Form option | Masters Preliminary | Masters Final |
The route can differ from one subject and one college to another, so your admit card is the final word. Pick whatever it says.
Steps to check the result
Choose Masters
On this page the program is already set to Masters. The exam part is set to Masters Final, and you can switch it to Preliminary or ICT.
Enter the exam year
Type the exam year from your Masters admit card.
Add your Masters roll
This one trips people up. Your Masters roll is not the same as your Honours or Degree roll. Use the number on your Masters admit card.
Add the registration number and press View Result
Check the number against your registration card, then wait for the marksheet to load.
What your Masters marksheet usually shows
- Your name, roll, registration number and college.
- Each course with its marks, split into theory and practical where that applies.
- A letter grade and grade point for every course, using the same 4.00 scale as other NU programs.
- Your final result for the exam, with GPA or CGPA.
The scale is simple to remember. 80 and above is A+ (4.00), 70 to 74 is A− (3.50), 60 to 64 is B (3.00), and 40 is the lowest pass mark (D, 2.00). Anything below 40 is an F.
About Masters ICT
The form also has a Masters ICT option. Choose it only if your admit card says ICT. If you pick the wrong part, the form will usually answer with "result not found" even though your result exists.
Result day tips
The first few hours after NU publishes a Masters result are the busiest. A few small habits make life easier.
- Keep your admit card and registration card open before you start, so you are not searching for them while the page waits.
- Type slowly. A single wrong digit gives the same "not found" message as a missing result.
- If one attempt fails, change nothing and try the same details once more after a few minutes. The server may simply have been slow.
- Take a screenshot or save the PDF as soon as the marksheet loads, in case the page is busy when you come back.
After you see the result
Keep a PDF copy for your own records. Certificates and transcripts are issued by NU itself, not by this page, so apply through the university or your college when you need them. If you think a mark has been entered wrongly, read the revaluation page for the recheck process.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my Honours roll not work here?
Masters exams have their own roll numbers. Your Honours roll belongs to a different exam, so it will not match.
Can I see both Preliminary and Final results?
Yes, but one at a time. Run the search once with Masters Preliminary selected and again with Masters Final, using the details from the matching admit card.
Is the PDF accepted for jobs or admission?
Treat it as a reference copy only. Employers and universities normally ask for the attested marksheet or transcript from NU.
Are my details saved?
No. They are used to fetch the result and are not stored. See the privacy policy for more.
